Properbasics' journey began when our founder, Anna, got frustrated by the high $18 price tag for seamless, recycled underwear from a well-known sustainable brand, and set out to create a better alternative.

With a commitment to both sustainability and affordability, we meticulously sourced the finest recycled fabrics from multiple factories and geographies. Our quest led us to discover an exceptionally silky, premium nylon made from discarded plastic in Korea.

For us, comfort is key. Drawing from personal experience, we were all too familiar with the discomfort of seamless underwear that rides up constantly and causes unwelcome wedgies. Thus, our development process focused on creating underwear that stays in place without sliding or shifting, and minimizes underwear lines for a seamless silhouette.

Thanks to the incredible support from our backers on Kickstarter, we successfully launched properbasics in 2023. Today, our versatile, four-color collection of undies is designed to complement any wardrobe and provide unparalleled comfort.
